Enjoy the Plitvice lakes National park, one of the oldest national parks in Europe
Located near the National park of Plitvice lakes, which was enrolled by UNESCO, noticing the exceptional natural uniqueness of this National park, in 1979 on the list of World’s cultural and natural inheritance, as a special value not only for us, but for the whole mankind.
The lakes are renowned for their distinctive colours, ranging from azure to green, grey or blue. The colours change constantly depending on the quantity of minerals or organisms in the water and the angle of sunlight.
Waters flowing over the limestone and chalk have deposited minerals, and created natural dams. The result is a series of beautiful lakes, caves and waterfalls. The forests in the park are home to an admiring variety of flora and fauna.
